Hatikva - Hope Reborn - Renaissance d'un espoir

(english and french booklet)

Synopsis

Astrith Baltsan presents a revolutionary research around the world in the footsteps of Israel's national anthem Hatikva: from ancient Sephardic Jewish prayer, to classical music; from Rumanian folk songs to first Jewish settlements in Israel, from Mantua to New York, from Bergen-Belzen concentration camp to Jerusalem, from Herzl claiming "our HOPE is not yet los", to rap-singers shouting: "The dream will die if HOPE is denied". A booklet in French and in English + CD, celebrating the sixth edition of Baltsan's prize winning book (published in Hebrew by Israel's Ministry of Education).
